Ube Japan

On Monday 21 August, students from Year 10 participated in a ZOOM conference call with Japanese students from Ube city in Japan.

Ube has been a sister city of Newcastle for the last 43 years and has a long-standing relationship with Newcastle High School involving educational and cultural exchange.

Our students had the opportunity to put their Japanese learnings into practice and to deepen friendships with the Japanese students. It is hoped that next year we will be in a position to resume face-to-face visits.
