Transport Diversions - Port Stephens Service

From Monday 2^nd November 2020, Port Stephens Council will be conducting roadworks (involving a road closure) on Church St in Nelson Bay.  

This will severely impact the majority of route and school services, diversions will be put in place.  This involves the closure of some bus stops and temporary bus stops put in place.

Due to the closure in Church St (including Donald St intersection);

• ALL services that would normally use Government Rd (the section of road in-between Seaham St & Church St) will be diverted along Wahgunyah Rd/Nelson St/Tomaree St. 
• ALL services that use Church St will be using Tomaree St/Yacaaba St.
• The main bus stops in Donald St (at Woolworths & opposite) will be relocated to Yacaaba St, near corner of Donald St
  
• Additional bus stop will be installed in Tomaree St before Nelson St
• Bus zone will be added to Wahgunyah Rd (opposite St Michaels Primary) – Note - student drop off or pickup at St Michaels Primary will not change. 

From Monday 26/10

• Signage will be placed at affected bus stops
• Website/Social Media postings
• Drivers will be advising any passengers that board or alight at the affected stops of the upcoming changes
• Real time apps (Trip Planner etc. will reflect changes as soon as the new data is uploaded by third party)
