The objective of the Taster Day is to provide Year 6 students with a preview of the experiences awaiting them at NHS. This initiative aims to ease any apprehensions regarding the transition to high school, fostering a sense of excitement and motivation as they prepare for Year 7.
Partner Primary school staff will accompany students during the Taster Day, facilitating the transition process. Transportation arrangements to and from NHS are organised by our partner primary schools in collaboration with parents and carers.
Tuesday June 3: Hamilton, Newcastle East, Hamilton South, Merewether, Out of Zone students.
Tuesday June 10: Carrington, The Junction, Stockton, Fern Bay.
