The top tips for improving your child’s attendance and ensuring their safety are:

1. encourage full attendance
2. explain the importance of attendance as the key foundation for learning and success
3. insist your child attend sport/school carnival days
4. limit the half day passes you request by organising appointments out of school time
5. send your child to school on excursion days even if they are not attending the excursions

7. don’t let them miss school for minor matters
8. please contact our school on the day if your child is genuinely absent
9. ask them about their day / discuss their subjects
10. request attendance data if you suspect that your child may be truanting
