Room 3

Room 3 students have had an eventful start to the year learning all things Japan! With the reality of overseas trips being put on hold for the rest of the world, Room 3 students designed their own virtual trip around Japan. They budgeted flights, studied anime, participated in a Japanese game show, made sushi and miso soup, read Kensuke’s Kingdom, visited Japanese landmarks through VR headsets and even ate at a Japanese restaurant before things got shut down.

Students have got stuck into using lots of technology throughout the year. We started off building scenes and exploring foreign places using VR headsets. By working collaboratively,  students then put their heads together and figured out how to code 3 different types of robots and even made a few of their own. Their grit and interest in technology certainly came in handy when we were suddenly Zooming and using Canvas from home.
