NAIDOC Week

We have been proudly celebrating NAIDOC during Week 5.  Our theme for 2020 is “Always Was, Always Will Be.”

Always Was, Always Will Be recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years.  The theme recognises that we are spiritually and culturally connected to this country. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were Australia’s first explorers, first navigators, first engineers, first farmers, first botanists, first scientists, first diplomats, first astronomers and first artists.  Please see the website for more information about this very important celebration: https://www.naidoc.org.au/  

Our school organised a variety of celebrations, including morning presentations, assembly, Cooks Hill Campus events and student led activities across this week.
