Library Services

Newcastle High School Library offers a variety of study areas, computers and book resources for students to utilise.

Students can also obtain information on: Opal transport cards and senior secondary student concession cards from Mrs Cox in the Library, Print Room.

The Library is also home to the CAPA Staffroom and the school Print Room. 

Careers information books can be found in Non Fiction or from Mrs Hine at the Careers Office.

Student Library Access 

8.30 - Period 1. (Possible early entry for seniors, upon arrival of supervising teacher) No Games, student work only.

Lunch break - use of computers and games.

Recess break - Seniors only.

Senior Study

At Newcastle High School we have identified dedicated spaces in the Library to support Senior Study. Visit here for more information on the Senior Study.

  • senior students have two designated study areas available
  • printing is available at a nominal charge for school related documents:

 A4 only. 10c per page black and white, 30c per page for colour.

Students can access the school Library Catalogue at home through their Portal Page: select OLIVER, My School Library, to browse for books and chapters of books.
