Student Learning Support

Learning Support at Cooks Hill Campus (CHC) is built around the belief that every student learns differently. Our goal is to ensure that all students can access learning, feel confident in their abilities and experience success at school. Learning support is coordinated through the Learning and Support Team (LST), which works closely with advisors, families and external services to provide targeted assistance for students who require additional support.

The Learning and Support Team

The Learning and Support Team brings together staff with expertise in learning support, wellbeing and inclusive education. The team works collaboratively to identify student needs, coordinate interventions and ensure that appropriate adjustments are in place.

Support may include:

The team meets regularly to review student referrals, monitor progress and ensure that support strategies remain responsive to student needs.

Personalised Learning Adjustments

Students at CHC may receive personalised adjustments to support their learning. These adjustments help ensure students can participate in learning on the same basis as their peers.

Adjustments may include:

These adjustments are documented through learning plans and monitored regularly by the Learning and Support Team and advisory teachers.

Targeted Learning Programs

Some students benefit from additional targeted programs designed to strengthen specific skills.

Programs may be delivered in small groups or through individual support depending on the needs of each student.

Support for Students with Disability

Cooks Hill Campus is committed to inclusive education and ensuring students with disability are supported to access learning and participate fully in school life.

Support may include:

Students receiving additional support are involved in conversations about how they would like to be supported, ensuring their voice remains central to the process.
